Welcome to the Towcester Wildlife Trust Group website. The group was formed in 2009 and hold regular monthly meetings. As well as club meetings we also hold outdoor visits and help out with work parties on the nature sites around Towcester.

Indoor club meetings are held on the third Monday of the month at the Old Mill at the bottom of Chantry Lane, starting at 7:00 pm unless mentioned otherwise. Car parking is free at the old mill after 6:00 pm

Monday 19th November, 7:00pm, The Water Meadows & River Warden scheme:

This will be a joint meeting with Brian Collins of SNC and Nat Healy who is the MD of Red Kite the Consultants who are commissioned to prepare a Development and Management plan for the Water Meadows. As well as bringing everyone up to date on those plans, they will also be discussing the River Warden Scheme. See Autumn newsletter for more details on this scheme

The Wildlife Trust in Towcester 

Towcester Aerial View 1The town of Towcester has three main nature sites around it which the group are involved with, assisting to keep them clean or doing surveys.

Involvement with schools has included holding pond dipping sessions as well as helping to create a wildlife garden. This picture shows us at the initial stages of creating a wildlife garden in the grounds of a local primary school.

We are lucky to have a very talented amateur photographer in the group, who takes pictures of the wildlife around Towcester, such as the Sparrowhawk picture shown at the top. Some more of his pictures are shown on Nicks Pics page
